Gear is how to process? Gear processing technology requirements

In the rapidly changing gear processing category, it is particularly important to select efficient and accurate processing methods and gear cutting tools. Parts, production process and batch size all determine the selection of tools and gear processing methods.

In the soft processing stage of the gear, the fight is generally to obtain strict dimensional tolerances. Careful preparation of the quenching stage makes turning of hard parts relatively simple, followed by hard machining of gears. Predictable machining and good surface quality are essential for turning hard parts. All this should be combined with high economy.

The new drive design electric transport will dramatically change gear machining, together ensuring flexibility and high productivity. Key points will no longer be traditional gear machine tools, and compound gear/spline parts will become the norm. Strong scraping will be the point because it will replace gear shafts, drawing and spline rolling, and to some extent, gear hobbing.

Gears are generally classified according to the specifications of the tolerance requirements of the machined gears. The more common classification specification for cylindrical gear accuracy is DIN 3962, which measures different gear parameters and classifies them on a scale of 1-12. Other customer-specific specifications are also common, but their evaluation parameters are generally the same as DIN 3962 specifications.

Gear accuracy levels are generally determined by the part requirements and the range of gear applications.

Other requirements to ensure ideal gear quality include:

High quality tools;

Clean the contact surface;

Should try to reduce the runout of the tool and the workpiece;

Clamping is stable;

Precision and stable machine tools;

How to apply gear processing;

Gear cutter profiles generally need to be customized for a particular gear. In other words, the size and shape of the groove must match the tool exactly.
